Monitoring of topsoil stripping of the footprint of a proposed dwelling extension and associated driveway at Boycetown, Carrigaline, Co. Cork was undertaken on 6 June 2018. Monitoring was undertaken as a condition of planning due to a portion of the development area falling within the Zone of Notification for the site of a fulacht fiadh (CO099-077----). A combined area of approximately 560m² was stripped of topsoil and the underlying subsoil was revealed. No artefacts, features or deposits of an archaeological nature were revealed.
