Testing was required on a proposed site by Cork County Council prior to the construction of a dwelling house as two fulachtaí fiadh were located just to the north of the site. In total 7 test trenches were opened on site. The topsoil C.1 consisted of a black moist clay with no inclusion. The subsoil C.2 was a compact grey white silty clay with a low density of stone inclusions. The subsoil was uniform across the site. No archaeology was found.
