The proposed development is to be located directly upon the footings of Raheen House which was demolished some years ago. As suggested in the assessment, monitoring was to be carried out on site during works. The upper layer of material (C.1) was removed to expose the subsoil (C.2). The layer C.1 consisted of crushed stone, earth, pieces of plastic etc. The subsoil C.2 was a compact grey yellow gritty clay with a high density of stone inclusions. No evidence of the Raheen House was uncovered on site.
