Testing was carried out in advance of a proposed development of nineteen detached dwelling houses, close to CL052-019 (ringfort), at Mountievers, Sixmilebridge, Co. Clare. Testing revealed an undated burnt stone spread. The spread measured 12.5m by 12.7m and had a maximum thickness of 0.5m. No trough or pit was identified. Full excavation is recommended.
