Archaeological testing was carried out on a site on the eastern outskirts of Milltownpass village. The development comprised demolition of a 1950s structure and construction of a new dwelling. The development site lies to the south of WM034-006, classified as an earthwork.
Six test trenches were excavated in June 2017. The stratigraphy was consistent through most of the trenches, comprising topsoil over fine light brown boulder clay with some stones.
No archaeological material was observed in any of the trenches and no artefacts were recovered.
