A programme of pre-planning testing was carried out over one and a half days on 25 and 26 July 2017 at the site of a Primary Care Centre at Mitchel Street, Thurles, Co Tipperary. A total of ten test trenches were investigated however no archaeology was found. The investigation confirmed that the rear (north) of the property had been previously disturbed by a gravel quarry pit.
