Monitoring took place on 21 and 23 June, of ground surface removal in the footprint of a previous 20th-century extension at the rear of the property. The original previous slope rising to north was scarped at time of the preceding development. It was therefore anticipated that the likelihood of archaeology surviving within the footprint of the current development was low. In the event, the natural subsoil was reached directly beneath the removed concrete floor and no archaeology resided here.
