Additional Stage (i) archaeological testing (Phase 3) was carried out in advance of the N4 Collooney to Castlebaldwin Road Development, Co. Sligo. This testing was undertaken because two separate areas of the proposed development were substantially or partially omitted from the main Standard Test Excavation Phase-Ministerial Directions Number A0701, registration number (E004627) undertaken by Rubicon Heritage in 2015. The reasons for the omission of these areas was the presence of overhead powerlines. Given that the two areas tested had previously been the subject of limited testing (Toberbride) or largescale disturbance (Kingsbrook) it is perhaps unsurprising that, with the exception of Field 2 in Toberbride, no archaeological finds or features were identified. This one small scale site (a spread and pits) known as Toberbride 1 was excavated under registration number E004921
