Stage (iii) archaeological excavation was carried out at Sheerevagh 2, Drumderry 1 in advance of the N4 Collooney to Castlebaldwin Road Development, Co. Sligo. The site was discovered during Stage (i) archaeological testing and was assessed during Stage (ii) Pre-Excavation Services (Registration Number E4627).
Sheerevagh 2, Drumderry 1 was comprised of one burnt mound and five smaller spreads. 11 pits were also identified on this site three of which were directly associated with the smaller spreads. Two recent field drains were also recorded and some recent disturbance to the site was also noted.
