A total of 4 test trenches were excavated within the site of the proposed development on 9 June 2017. A test trench was excavated across the line of the monument MA042-032001, field boundary, the results of which indicate that the wall is of a relatively modern date and simply represents the remains of an abandoned agricultural stone wall. No archaeological features or deposits were recorded.
