An archaeological assessment (test trenching) took place at the site of a proposed single dwelling house and garage with associated percolation area/waste water treatment system and associated site works at Glaspistol, Clogherhead Co. Louth. The site is located in proximity to LH022-043, a souterrain and LH022-017, an ecclesiastical site. The assessment was carried out in compliance with an archaeological condition attached to planning permission ref no 16/572 granted by Louth County Council.
A total of 6 test trenches were excavated within the site on 24 February 2017. No archaeological features or deposits were recorded.
