An archaeological assessment(test trenching) was carried out on 18 November 2017 at the site of a proposed development at Castle Street and Boat Trench, Ardee, Co. Louth. Because of the narrow and restrictive nature of the site, one central test trench was excavated across the footprint of the proposed new building. No archaeological features or deposits were recorded.
