Testing was undertaken in advance of construction of a single dwelling adjacent to a ringfort LH004-020 at Monascreebe, Faughart, Co. Louth. Test trenching confirmed the survival of the ringfort ditch within the subject site on the south-side side of the proposed dwelling. The site layout has been altered in order to avoid the projected line of the ringfort ditch.
