The test trenching was carried out on foot of a pre-planning request from the client’s agent, due to the site’s general proximity to a number of recorded archaeological monuments within the Lough Gur area, Co. Limerick. The proposed development was an extension to a house. A total of 5 trenches was excavated at the site. Nothing of an archaeological nature was discovered.
