A programme of monitoring was carried out on an area measuring c. 70m in length and 5m in width as part of groundworks associated with the construction of an agricultural underpass. The excavations took place on the public road, the R433, as well as two areas of grassland to the north and the south which were excavated to provide raked approaches to the box culvert under the road. Monitoring did not result in the discovery of heretofore unknown or unrecorded archaeological material.
