Test excavations were undertaken with regard to a planning application to construct a single house at Site No. 8, Ardagh, Killarney, Co. Kerry. The proposed development site is situated c.1.7km south-east of Killarney town. A series of eleven linear test trenches (T1-T11) 1.0m in width and disposed at 10m intervals were excavated across the limits of the site, all with negative results.
