Monitoring was undertaken in advance of wall underpinning at 43 Aungier
Street and Number 1 Digges Street Upper, Dublin 2. A truncated subsoil horizon was evident throughout the site, with the construction of the
basement for the surviving building having necessitated the removal of all material to a level of approximately 1.8m below street level, thus ensuring evidence of previous structures or archaeological deposits was no longer extant.
