The protected Victorian structure at 91 Heytesbury Street comprises a two-storey end-of-terrace building. The development included the demolition of a back shed, to facilitate the construction of a single-story extension to the rear of the property. The site is located towards the northern end of Heytesbury Street, Dublin 8, which meets New Bride Street to the north, Camden Row to the east, and Long Lane to the west. The assessment took place over four days on 2, 16, 24 and 29 November 2017. The investigations included the digging of three test pits in advance of groundworks, and the monitoring of the removal of topsoil and underlying garden soils in the location of the proposed extension. No soils, features, or finds of archaeological significance were identified or impacted during the monitoring works.
