Development involved the mechanical excavation of 16 slit trenches, designed to facilitate upgrading of the existing electrical supply network within the campus. The slit trenches measured on average 3.5–4m long x 0.4m wide x 1m deep. Monitoring was carried out by Dermot Nelis and Colm Flynn between 9 and 13 January 2017 throughout the excavation of the 16 slit trenches. No archaeological features or artefacts were revealed during monitoring.
