The archaeology consisted of 72 features: comprising large and small pits, and burnt spreads as well as an east-west aligned pair of ditches. Nothing of a structural nature was identified.

Artefacts recovered were limited to a few pieces of struck flint; the only diagnostic piece being a probable Neolithic scraper.

The pits were dated to the early medieval period and were typical of charcoal production pits of the period.
