Test trenching of this site was carried out in advance of construction of a dwelling house. The site is located close to a partially levelled enclosure which is still clearly visible on the ground.
Four trenches were excavated. Two shallow linear ditches were found, one running north-south, the other east-west. They were 1.1m and 1.2m wide and 0.3m deep with steep sides and flat bases. The fill of both was similar to the topsoil. Both are interpreted as early modern boundary ditches.
