Four test trenches were mechanically excavated on the site in advance of the proposed development of a single house. Six small ephemeral features were revealed in the trenches which may be associated with the nearby stone row. No finds were revealed. As it was possible to relocates the house approximately 40m further south-west of the stone row the features were preserved in situ with minimal disturbance.
