Pre-development test trenching was carried out in relation to archaeological conditions imposed upon planning approval for a commercial development at 35 Nursery Park, Antrim Technology Park, Antrim.
An archaeological impact assessment suggested the proposed development area would be of archaeological potential given that prehistoric archaeological remains had previously been uncovered during pre-development investigations in the field immediately to the south.
Seven test trenches were excavated across the site; no archaeological remains were identified during test trenching works. It is therefore recommended that the development proceed with no further archaeological involvement.
