Three test trenches were originally recommended within the archaeological Programme of Works, however once on site it was evident that the site had been scarped previously and all that remained was scree and bedrock. It was impossible to excavate the three trenches. A single test pit was dug through the scree, no subsoil was uncovered. Nothing of archaeological potential was uncovered during monitoring.
