A watching brief was carried out during invasive works at the development. 19th-century Victorian drains were encountered as well as 19th-century foundations. 17th- and 18th-century artefacts were recovered from disturbed contexts. It was clear that the modern foundations which crossed the site had removed any archaeological features which may have been present.
