A watching brief was undertaken in advance of the construction of a stone accessway. The development was located adjacent to two enclosures (ANT050:058 and ANT058:059). A single archaeological feature, a ditch of unknown date, was identified c. 200m east of these monuments. Test excavation revealed the ditch to be filled with several sterile deposits. The ditch was orientated north-east/south-west and measured 10m (min.) x 2.1m (min) x 0.56m. No artefacts were recovered which could provide a provisional date for this feature. No other features or deposits of archaeological potential were identified throughout the course of the works.
