The Southern Regional Authority constructed a new public foyer to the west of the former bank building—The Assembly Building at 30 O’Connell Street. The excavation of the foundations was monitored. No archaeological remains were disturbed by the building, which did not exceed a depth of 0.7m and revealed only a stony rubble silt.
