The Southern Regional Authority constructed a new public foyer to the west of the former bank building - The Assembly Building at 30 O'Connell Street. The excavation of the foundations was monitored. No archaeological remains were disturbed by the building, which did not exceed a depth of 0.7m and revealed only a stony rubble silt.
