An archaeological evaluation was carried out prior to the proposed construction of a 5-turbine wind farm at Gortfinbar, Carrickmore, Co. Tyrone. Enabling works for the project were previously monitored under licence AE/13/168.
Monitoring of topsoil/peat removal was carried out in the area of additional enabling works, which consisted of the widening of trackways and access routes and the construction of turbine bases and hard standing.
No archaeological deposits were identified during the course of the evaluation.
