A geophysical survey was undertaken in June 2016 to investigate potential buried archaeological remains within the footprint of the proposed development site at Monaraha, County Tipperary. A detailed gradiometer survey, at 0.25m by 1m was undertaken over all suitable areas within the allocated survey boundary. The gradiometer survey has identified limited evidence for possible buried archaeological deposits within field B. The majority of features identified across the entire survey area would suggest they are of natural origin, forming geological trends and disturbance from quarrying activity.
