Test excavation took place in advance of single residential development on 19 October 2016. This was preceded by geophysical survey 16-R-0145 and n archaeological impact assessment on 29 August.
The two trenches (each 44m in length) presented stratigraphy of brown grey silty clay onto natural yellow brown clay with decayed and undecayed small limestone inclusions. No archaeology was encountered.
