An archaeological assessment was carried out at the site of a proposed residential development, a 3.68ha green-field site in Kilmessan, Trim, Co. Meath. A geophysical survey of the site was carried out followed by targeted test trenching. A total of 9 trenches were mechanically excavated across the site under archaeological supervision. A series of early modern field boundaries were recorded across the site. No other archaeological material was recorded in any of the trenches.
