The site consisted of a single hearth (F004) exposed at a depth of 0.4m beneath the sod and topsoil. This feature was previously identified during Stage (i) testing and a charcoal sample was taken. The feature measured 1.25m by 1.14m with a depth of 0.28m. A radiocarbon date obtained from this sample was for 980 +/- 30 BP giving a date range of AD 993 - 1155 indicating that the site is early medieval. Other features proved not to be archaeological and were of modern origin.

No finds were recovered from the site and a flint blade (E4621:209:25) recovered from topsoil during stage (i) testing was the only find recovered from the townland of Lisnakirka or Milebush 1.
