Pre-excavation services involved the removal of overgrowth from an extant limekiln, cleaning of the interior and recording it in plan and elevation. The limekiln measured 3.2m by 2.9m with a depth of 1.55m. A flue at the base of the kiln internally was also exposed. Two other linear features were exposed, both of which were aligned east-west. The first of these to the north of the kiln appeared to be a field boundary ditch; the second, which extended westwards from the door of the kiln, may have been a sunken metalled path to facilitate access etc. to the limekiln. No finds were recovered from the site.
