The site at Drumaleheen 6 consisted of the remains of a very ploughed-out burnt stone spread which was visible as a number of small individual thin spreads. Excavations revealed that the spreads filled shallow depressions in the natural subsoil and varied in depth from 0.12m to a maximum of 0.3m. A possible deeper depression may have been modified for use as a trough/well for water. No other features were exposed below the spread. A sample was taken from the possible burnt mound material. Radiocarbon analysis of any charcoal present should provide a date range for the use of this site. No finds were recovered from the archaeological features.
