Four possible pits cut into the natural subsoil were identified at Drumaleheen 4. The first pit (F03) was oval in plan and measured 0.5m by 0.5m with a depth of 0.12m. Pit (F04) was similar in size to (F03) and it contained a dark brown silty clay. A sample taken from one of the pits during the testing phase returned a radiocarbon date of 1209-979 BC. The fourth (largest) pit was found to represent modern root activity. No finds were recovered from the archaeological features.
