The burnt mound F003 measured 8.5m in length, 4.4m in width and 0.35m in thickness and lay above two troughs and a possible water management system. One of the troughs (F006) measured 2.1m in length, 1.35m in width, 0.1m in depth and contained the poorly preserved remains of trough timbers (F008: Timbers 1-7). The second trough (F009) measured 1.85m in length, 1.48m in width and 0.13m in depth and lay within a stone linear feature (F013) which measured 3.4m in length, 0.4m in width and 0.2m in depth. It was apparent as a row of sub-angular stones laid vertically north-east/south-west and most likely represented a water management system, working in association with the trough F009, managing the flow of water to or from the timer trough F008.
