A disturbed burnt mound (F003) was identified at Claggarnagh West 1. It measured 5.1m in length, 4m in width and 0.12m in thickness and lay above an oval pit (F004) which measured 1.9m in length, 1.3m in width and 0.45m in depth. Its two fills were a dark brown silty clay (F006) containing frequent inclusions of sandstone and charcoal and a light grey silty clay (F005) containing occasional inclusions of charcoal and burnt sandstone. Two timber stakes were identified 0.75m east of the pit which may have formed structural elements associated with the adjacent pit.
