Monitoring of maintenance dredging at Aughinish, Co. Limerick took place from 18 to 26 August 2016. Plough dredging was carried out in three areas (Area A-C) by vessel ‘Shannon 1’, a Multi-Cat tug with a bed-levelling plough. Areas A and C was situated astride the Outer and Inner Deepwater Berth at the jetty that extends from Aughinish Point northwards into the Shannon for c.900m. Area B was situated at Aughinish Point at a small boat-lower, water berthing area.
