Test excavations were undertaken with regard to a planning application to construct a solar PV farm at Nantinan, c. 7.7km east of Killorglin, Co. Kerry. Thirty-two test excavation trenches (T1 to T32) extending for a total distance of 710m were incrementally opened with a back-acting track machine with a 1.8m wide flat grading bucket. Nothing of archaeological interest was noted during testing.
