Test excavations were undertaken in advance of a proposed solar farm in the townland of Dromroe c. 3.5km east of the village of Causeway in North Kerry. Fourteen 1m wide test trenches (T1 – T14) were opened with negative results. Previous testing had been carried out by the author across the central area of the site in 2010 (Licence No.10E0171) with similar negative results (Dunne 2010).
