Monitoring was undertaken of four areas (Monitoring Areas 1–4) located along the route of the N86 Lispole to Ballynasare Lower & Ballygarret to Camp Road Improvement Scheme. Monitoring follows from earlier phases of Stage (i) archaeological testing and Stage (ii) pre-excavation services and Stage (iii) excavation services. The first phase of testing was carried out by Shane Delaney of IAC under E4617 in 2015 which identified six previously unidentified archaeological sites. Registration numbers have been sought and granted for excavation of features at these sites (Bruce Sutton; E004664–9). Stage (iii) excavation of these sites is now complete. The monitoring commenced in January 2017 and is likely to continue until mid-2017. No archaeology found to date.
