Six trial trenches were excavated at the site of a proposed new school to the south-east of the town of Tuam. The greenfield site was located to the west of the now-demolished Glebe House. There was nothing of archaeological significance discovered during the testing programme, though three trenches showed evidence of modern disturbance.
