A programme of monitoring took place in relation to the construction of surface sewers in and around the village of Kinvara, Co. Galway. The works were located along the existing road network, largely within the extent of the village, as well as along a minor road which runs in a general north-easterly direction from the N67 to the west of the village. Works were also undertaken along a coastal margin between the village and proposed waste water treatment facility at the northern limit of the village. Two post-medieval features were identified during the course of the monitoring; an infill behind the quay walls and a stone-lined culvert. In addition, a displaced human jawbone was also recovered from a disturbed context within the main street.
