Monitoring at Newbridge House was undertaken from June 13 2016 to January 2017 within the main courtyard which was resurfaced, in the south range building which was refurbished, in the area west of the main house and in the southern part of the walled garden. The excavation of trenches for services including surface water and foul drainage, water, CCTV, electrics and communication was also monitored. The drainage system associated with the house and modern disturbance was noted in some of the excavated trenches. Elsewhere it was noted that garden soils overlay the natural subsoil at a depth of 0.3–0.4m. No features of an archaeological nature were identified and with the exception of a farthing (16E0188:002:1) dating to the reign of George II all finds were modern in nature.

Archaeological works are now complete at this site.
