A licence was sought to carry out archaeological monitoring of groundworks associated with a development at Old Wesley RFC, Donnybrook Road, Dublin 4. Monitoring of ground works was required as a condition of planning permission for the site (DCC Planning Ref No. 3288/15 and 3622/11). The site is located within the zone of archaeological potential for the historic area of Donnybrook DU018-060. No archaeological finds or features were identified during monitoring. No further mitigation is recommended.
