An archaeological evaluation was undertaken ahead of the proposed construction of a residential development at 66 Main Street, Greyabbey, Co. Down. Monitoring of all ground penetrating works was conducted for the proposed development. Ground reduction works were conducted using a back-acting machine fitted with a toothless bucket. Five test trenches were excavated across the site all of which were excavated to the levels of naturally occurring subsoil.
Nothing of archaeological significance was identified during the course of the monitoring.
