An archaeological evaluation was undertaken ahead of the constrcution of a number of polytunnels on lands adjacent to 1 Fort Road, Dundonald.

Monitoring of four test trenches was conducted for the proposed development. The test trenches were dug by a mechanical excavator fitted with a toothless bucket to the levels of naturally occurring subsoil.

No archaeological deposits were identified during the course of the evaluation.
