A total of four linear test trenches were excavated across the site totaling 152m². In addition, an area measuring approximately 15m x 10m at the eastern half of the site (encompassing Tr.1 and the eastern portion of Tr.2 and Tr.4) was cleared of topsoil while the archaeologist was on site. This area was inspected but did not contain any archaeological material. The upcast material from the test trenches was spread within the limited confines of the site and visually scanned. A quantity of the topsoil from each of the test trenches was sieved by hand using a swinging sieve. No archaeological material was identified from the topsoil. No features of archaeological significance were identified within any of the test trenches and no archaeological finds were identified during the visual inspection and sieving of the topsoil.
