Monitoring was undertaken at Annabella Court, Mountnorth, Ballyclogh, Mallow, County Cork. Fieldwork included excavating an open area around a modern bungalow. The proposed development is adjacent to, and within a Zone of Archaeological Potential, around Month North Court, CO 024-145, a Country House, and next to a proposed protected structure, known as 'Steward's House'. Fieldwork took place on the last weekend of November 2016. Monitoring took 1 day in total to complete; all excavation was carried out by a machine fitted with a flat grading bucket.

Topsoil was excavated from an area to the west, east, and south of the bungalow. The development area around the bungalow was stripped of all remaining non-archaeological layers to the top of in-situ geologically deposited strata, and where necessary down to the base level of the proposed development. Topsoil varied from 0.1–0.35m deep within the excavated area. All excavated topsoil (which was not previously monitored) was re-spread by an excavator machine, fitted with a flat blade bucket, and examined. No environmental evidence was revealed during the excavation exercise, and no sub-surface archaeology was revealed because of topsoil removal.

A limestone wall was situated to the east of the bungalow; this wall formed the extent of the development's eastern boundary. A freestanding cut rectangular limestone block was revealed in undergrowth, next to the bungalow. The block in all likelihood came from Mount North Court House; it may have been a section of cut stone that formed part of a pier.

No archaeological features, structures, or monuments were noted during site monitoring ground works.
